Dr. Ekjyot Gill is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cornea specialist dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care while building lasting relationships with patients. As an Assistant Professor in the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute Department of Ophthalmology, he combines a passion for teaching with a commitment to clinical excellence.
Surgery is a central part of Dr. Ekjyot Gill’s professional life. He spends multiple days each week in the operating room, managing complex surgical cases, and overseeing all aspects of patient care in the surgical setting. In addition to caring for patients, he is actively involved in training the next generation of ophthalmologists, teaching residents and helping them develop advanced surgical skills. His dedication to education was recognized with the prestigious Jules Stein Faculty Teaching Award for Surgical Education.
Dr. Gill is known for taking on challenging and complicated cases and for his calm, thoughtful approach to managing the unexpected situations that can arise during surgery. He believes that outstanding patient care begins with trust, communication, and a genuine commitment to understanding each patient’s individual needs and goals.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Gill enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, who are the center of his life beyond the operating room.

Dr. Sarah Martin is a pediatric and adult ophthalmology specialist dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care for children and adults with complex eye conditions. She is committed to helping patients and families feel comfortable, informed, and supported while delivering thoughtful medical and surgical care tailored to each individual’s needs.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Dr. Martin graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Queensland Ochsner Clinical School. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate, followed by fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Dr. Martin is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at CHLA/USC. Her clinical and surgical interests include pediatric and adult strabismus, amblyopia, pediatric and adult cataracts, and retinoblastoma. She has a particular passion for caring for pediatric patients and adults with developmental delay, and she values building strong relationships with families through clear communication, trust, and individualized care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Martin enjoys spending quality time with her family and dogs, hiking, cooking, and occasionally knitting. She values maintaining a healthy balance between her professional and personal life and brings warmth, patience, and dedication to every patient interaction.
Sarah Martin
Saeed Javidi
Dr. Saeed Javidi is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist dedicated to providing exceptional medical and surgical care for patients with retinal diseases. He is committed to helping patients preserve and improve their vision through advanced treatment options and compassionate, personalized care.
Born in Tehran, Iran, Dr. Javidi spent much of his childhood in London, England before moving to the United States. He earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, followed by his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Javidi is an active member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Medical Association. He believes that excellent patient care begins with trust, communication, and ensuring every patient feels informed and comfortable throughout their treatment journey.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Javidi enjoys spending quality time with his family, caring for his dogs, playing soccer, tennis, hiking, and staying informed on current events. He is passionate about maintaining a healthy balance between his professional and personal life and values the relationships he builds both inside and outside the clinic. He is fluent in English and Farsi.
